    Waaaaaaay funny Rob, good one.

Add my BIG thumbs up to Mr. Frampton and General as well. He CERTAINLY has gone the extra mile to make up for a problem that wasn't his in the first place.

Mr. Frampton did put a surprise in the cabinet. See the pics. Some nice General merchandise. He's been very helpful and conscientious.
Woah! Generally great stuff! Mighty kewel jacket, too!

It's good to see that everything worked out in the end, but what a journey it was for you.
Nice job to GI, and Mr. Frampton for stepping up to the plate and doing what they could to rectify the situation.

Well I hoped to get rid of the damaged jointer today

Scheduled a pickup for today with Roadway shipping. Waited all day. Nobody showed up or called. I left a msg for them. Roadway doesn't appear to have hours on Saturdays.

If I'm lucky, maybe I'll never have to deal with a shipping company again after this is over.

I'm so glad you've got what you wanted, even after such an ordeal.

Good for General to include the extras. !!!! Hope they fit.

    Go General!

Hmmm. General didn't sell it, didn't ship it, and sounds like they didn't break it. But they jump in and fix it. Also the General 480 is the best machine on the market. I don't know how you couldn't be happy.

Gary, ask Redmond or General or whoever to schedule the pickup. Leave it by the curb and be done with it.

Sorry, but you've put up with enough already. Hope you're not missing any work over this.

    Ouch

Was replacing the stock head with my shelix. Wanted to take the knives off the original so I wouldn't cut myself in taking off the retaining blocks. 'Course I slipped and cut myself pretty good.

Doc across the street says I probably don't need stitches. Butterfly seems to be holding.

Another lesson. Wear gloves when doing this or change grips so you aren't knuckle down when removing tight gib screws. Doh.

    Cool

Up until now I though you'd given everything but your blood on this one. Now you've given some of that. Take care Gary. I hope everything works out for you.

Gary, look through those extra goodies Mr. Frampton sent you. Maybe there's some General band-aids...

    Almost...

    Well, no General bandaids.

The good news is the original jointer will be picked up tomorrow.

The new one is in the basement, assembled and has the new shelix head in it. Once my digits work a little better, I'll get down there, install the knives and fine tune the jointer.

I'll try to post a pic tonight. Man, those tables are shiny.

I'm looking forward to seeing those machines in all their glory, but what I really want to see is a really flat, really square piece of wood.
