Thread: Critiques Wanted - New Design for Mesquite Chair

    Hey thanks for all of your input. I am working on the second generation. Ill post pictures when I'm done. I really appreciate all the input and have a lot better game plan for this one. Once again thanks.

    I think if the table has a heavy, thick Mesquite top.....then the chair will look majestic in comparison.

    Great look in my eyes. Excellent workmanship.

    It would be nice to see the chair in context (with a table) as the top seems heavy. The slats could be more (say 3) and thinner, or it could taper in at the top, or if you're going for a broad shoulder look (your top rail) you could taper the middle (i.e. give it a waist). I suspect you're wanting the rectangular form (i.e. mission, shaker, or similar) so litening up the slats would be my first choice. Looks good though.
