Lovely form and beautiful wood. What's not to like?

A beauty Travis. I agree with everyone else that the inside looks to be as well done as the outside. I like that "chatoyance" in the wood too.

Thanks everyone. Benjamin, it's actually Oregon Myrtle/California Laurel.
Doug, I'm not sure. Some people think it's neat, others think "Hey, there's a hole in the side.......... " I like utilizing natural voids, gives a peek of what's inside.

First of all, awesome piece. Love the holes in the side.

Second, where are you getting the antique oil and what brand is it? It would appear from an internet search that Minwax antique oil is no longer available, but then again, I might be mental.

You just gave me a scare Robert! I get the Minwax antique oil at my local Ace Hardware. A quick search showed that it's available at Rockler's also.

Travis, you've done me in on this one. Now I must go home early today to have tmie on the lathe to start a HF. I am absolutely in love with the grain in this piece. And thanks for not putting a colar on this. I see so many piece that I think the colar almost detracts from the piece and this one would have been definately top of the list with one.

Ohhh almost forgot, I'll PM my adress to you for you to ship it to me if you would like
