Does anyone know if the Oliver Machinery Co. is still in business?

Yes and no. The original Oliver went out of business. Their machines are still in use, and you can buy parts for them. An Oliver employee runs a company named Eagle that provides parts (http://www.oldwwmachines.com). The Oliver name was bought by a company in Seattle which manufactures in the Far East (http://www.olivermachinery.net/).
Google with "oliver machinery woodworking" will get you lots of hits.

Jamie is corret, Oliver was one of my IBM AS400 customers in Grand Rapids, Mi.. they were just making parts & such for older equipment. The parts inventory was bought out by a internal person.... as Jamie said and the name sold. It was shame..
