Fellow woodbutchers,

In the last two weeks I've had three different occasions demanding drilling or driving screws in close quarters--next to a stovepipe, inside a fixed-shelf cabinet, and under my big Baldor grinder.

Bob Marino to the rescue! He pointed out to me that Festo was having a sale on demo items and that the 12V CDD drill was among the items available. So yesterday the drill arrived, together with the two accessory chucks (right-angle and eccentric).

It looks like a good, solid tool--as we've come to expect of Festo products. Why only "looks"? Because it's been so cold here that my shop is below the 5 degrees Celsius (41 degrees Fahrenheit) at which the charger won't work.

Boo-hoo!

Put the batteries and charger closer to the space heater last night and will try again today...
