    Minimax Gloat

    All,

Quick update on my shop progress, I was able to find this Minimax CU300 Smart (5.5' slider) for sale by a gentleman in the Atlanta Metro area. This machine was used as a demo for the IWF show in Atlanta a few years ago and due to the orignal owners ill health, hasn't been used since.

I've made a deposit on the machine and will be picking it up in the next few weeks, and driving it up to PA from GA. It's a great birthday present from my wife!

Thanks to everyone who posts here, this is an amazing resource! Particular thanks to Jim Becker, whose time and teachings made the decision easier.

    For the picture police...

    VERY nice! Congrats!
Should you (in the off chance) have any issues with it, the MM customer service is excellent.

I also suggest joining the MM Users Yahoo Group.

    Sweet, Chris! Congratz!

I had the opportunity to see one of those up close and personal a couple weeks ago. A very nice man about 90 minutes from me has a Mini Max 16HD and let me come over and get my nose oils all over it since I'm gathering info for a potential Mini Max bandsaw purchase. He also has the CU300 Smart, and let's just say it got a lot of my attention as well. The work he is doing with his Mini Max equipment is superb (making guitars), and he is very happy with his purchase. It's a fine piece of machinery.

Excellent gloat. Let us know how the test run goes once she's in her new home.
