    Lost a good friend

I am very sorry to report that a good friend, Gerry Beck was killed in a plane crash at Oshkosh last friday. He was flying one of the many P-51 Mustangs he rebuilt over the years. Gerrry was an inspiration to me and to countless others. He will be greatly missed. The link below shows some of his work.

Sorry to hear this David. Seems like a lot of good pilots go down at air shows, or prepairing for them. Jim.

I'm saddened by this kind of thing...'saw it on the news, but knowing now that the fellow was a personal friend of someone I know in our community makes it tougher. Sorry for your loss, David.

Sorry to hear the bad news David. Having rebuilt an airplane (Cessna 140) I know your friend was probably doing what he liked most. Those folks tend to touch others. Sorry for your loss.

    Thanks for the condolences

Just read a story on maxair2air.com about Gerry which included this picture. Thought it was inspirational.

Wow, David, I saw that on the news, too. My condolences on your loss, and our prayers go out on behalf of his family and friends (obviously including you).

That was big news here in our neck of the woods. The EAA fly in each year is one of the big ones and affecianados come from all over the world. And each year there are several accidents. So sorry to hear this was someone you knew Dave.

Prayers and condolances to you and the family.
