    ?? for club librarians

What system do you use to keep track of your tapes and books? How do you keep track of whom has checked out tapes/dvds and books? As our club grows in membership I can see this becoming a problem. Currently we are using an honor system for check out, check in and we now have missing items with no record of who has it.

I am not a club librarian but often lend out technical books at work and now use a small notebook to log the name of the book, the name of the person and the date. has solved a problem of not having material returned.

Terry I am the librarian for our club and I use a system very similar to what Ben posted. Works pretty well for us. We also charge a small fee to rent and double it for late returns.

If you use a Mac, these are the best I've ever seen for just what you want to do.
