    Fair Enteries

Well went this morning and collected my enteries at the fair. Got my ribbons and prize money. So thought I would post pictures of them. So here they are. A mesquite NE bowl, Maple lidded box, Cedar vase and the mini birdhouses.

I got Grand Champion with my kaliedoscopes and my pens won Reserve Grand Champion. But,,,,,,,,, someone stole the pens from the glass case somehow during the fair. Hmmmmmm.....
Daughter won Grand Champion with her pens in the basic craft catagory. They are currently in Indianapolis to be displayed in the coming week and of course to be judged. Here's hoping.
As soon as I read your title I was hoping you didn't have my luck, winning and not bringing them home! Glad that wasn't the case and congratulations on many well deserved turnings.

Thanks everyone. It was fun and a learning experience. I learn some things to do next year and things to watch for. Again thanks.

Bernie what an honor, and well deserved. Did I read the ribbons right that this was the first Fair? If so a double honor, WTG

Yes this was my first fair. I had several friends talk me into it. I thought I would put some pieces out the for exposure. Then I had 3 lady friends of my wife's almost beg me to go home and get some birdhouses to enter. Low and behold they were what won the grand champion ribbon and best of show. Go figure. I thought the bowl or vase would do it. Shows you how much I know.
