    Its an official gloat.

Took delivery of my new 12/24 this morning. Glad the driver beat the 70% chance of rain. Asked my neighbor t help me off load it into the shop. With the extension on it won't fit where the Jet mini was. That means I have to rearrange (again).

I'm going to have to drive up there and help you get that thing dirty.

    Congrats.

Come on up. You are always welcome. Ferkol brought me some bog Oak for pen turning. I have a pair glued up and ready.

Looks like your 70% chance of rain has morphed into a 100% chance of mayo shavings. Congrats Terry!

Great machine, Terry. I wish I would have been able to keep my 1018 (with the bed extension) when I bought my Stubby, but space didn't allow for it. Congrats on your new "mini"!!!

Man, alot of SMC'ers are getting new toys. I got mine last week and am really pleased, as I'm sure you will be with yours. Was the lathe shipped assembled? Had to put mine together with the help of a neighbor. Many, many hours of turning Terry. Have fun.

Already assembled. I wiped the oil off the ways, took the face plate off, hung the controler arm and turned it on. The lathe was bolted to a skid and a cardboard box was put over the lathe and stapled to the skid. That is all the protection there was. The truck driver pulled the box off before we moved it into my truck. I am very amazed there was no damage. As soon as my son gets home from work he will help me move it into place and then look out, here come the noodles.

I too am going to have to visit Roanoke to see what all this Mayo non-sense is about. Miracle whip is going to have to serve me at least until next year.

Congrats Terry and welcome to the Mayo club. That is a great machine for sure. Our club has one and I have turned on it. Smooth as silk.
