    It's taken me nearly two years...but finally almost a Stinson

    I still look in wonder at Travis' turnings. Finally today, I was able to steal his idea and make a repoduction of his method. I realize it's not a Stinson, but it's as close as this hillbilly will probably ever get .......For your enjoyment......my Stinson finishing technique bottle stopper......

    There's the next contest idea. Best use/interpretation of Ken's newly mastered finishing technique - we'll just have to schedule it for mid '09 so the rest of us can get comfortable with it and get some practice in .

    I think you have to use a chatter tool. If you don't have one then a really long flathead screwdriver can be used in its place.......

    Nice try Ken, but you failed to maintain a consistent texture.......keep practicing. I honed my Alumiburl texturing abilities in high school back in 1980, when my friends and I made our costumes for a Halloween festival KI$$ concert.
