Is the cherry done yet?

Here is my first attempt a microwave drying. I would say that its done. Although it doesn't smell very good. I would say a little too long. Next time I will just let the phone ring. Good thing it wasn't dinner or I would have been in big trouble. How do you like your cherry done? I have burnt the rim on a few bowls but this takes the cake

Wow. I'd say the cherry is a little too done for my tastes .

This looks like a really good reason that I need to get a separate microwave for the shop before I try using one for drying. LOML would kill me if I did that in her microwave.

I've used the microwave to dry wood before. My method is to place the wood into it for 2 minutes at 20%. When you take it out, check for heat. If it is hot, let it sit till it is cold, then do it again. Repeat till it comes out cold. (No Water in the wood = DRY) The only caviot - Don't microwave more than 5 times in 24 hours.
