Has anyone had any experience with this Lee Valley router table insert? I would also be interested in opinions as to how well it would serve.

I don't have it but I have their router table system which uses the same inserts and method of holding the router. It is very well made and works beautifully.

Sorry about the bad link. Let me try again. I am talking about this insert which is a different one. Tony, thanks for the information about the table and the problem with the link.

I've been using that base plate for several years. It works OK, and the included instructions are very good. You'll need access to a drill press to get the holes correct for attaching your router.

Thanks, Keith. I have a klunky drill press so I will hopefully be able to get the holes in. It is good to know the design works. The idea is appealing, especially cost-wise.
