    Project Post - Library Completed

Here is a library I just finished for a customer. Small and Simple. They wanted mortise and tenon faceframes... so they got them. Old school whitewash, a tad 80'sish, but they are paying.

INFO: Whitewashed Maple with precat lacquer finish, dato box construction, Double Raised panel. Drawers are Blumotion slides...

Graig...very handsome. Maple with a whitewash sound like a difficult finish that demands a lot of sanding of the maple to ensure no sanding or machining scratches show thru.

Why did they insist on mortise and tenons for the faceframe?...or even care about how this joint is made. Have they been watching the Woodworks Show on DIY TV?

Again, nice work. Your clients should be well satisfied.

I had done some furniture for them in the past, so they had been 'pre-schooled'.

    whitewash maple

    Hi Craig

Any tips about the whitewash on maple? I have heard complaints about staining of maple. I have a bunch of bead board I was thinking of whitewash.
