Showcase Forum?

Where is the place on SMC to post photos of pieces we have made or projects we have completed?

The General forum gets very crowded and threads can disappear off the first page in an hour or so, never to be seen again!

Wouldn't it be a good idea to have a specific 'Showcase Forum' where we can present our masterpieces to be torn apart by our peers?

In a sense, that's what we use the GW, Neander and Turning forums for. It's unlikely that we will be adding any more individual forums at present...the administration and moderation requirements are beyond what we can handle.

Jim is right but...we will be discussing our options for the coming year very soon and I will be proposing we add a shop tours module to The Creek. Your shop tour area could have a section for completed projects.

Whether we add the shop tours module will be based on support from our Members.

Perhaps I've misunderstood your disappointment. "Never" is a long, long time. Earlier pages can be accessed by the small boxes at the upper right and lower right corners of each page; probably all the way back to the creation of each forum.

That sounds like a fantastic idea Keith. I'm always inspired by the posts showing the shops and work of others here. Having a special place for them would make it much easier to find them.
