"Additional honing is recommended." -- Not!

Just got my new Lie Nielsen 1" Bevel Edge Chisel. As I was removing the blue plastic goo that was covering the tip . . . quick as a flash, slice - squirt. Matching slits in my forefinger and thumb. Wierd feeling being impressed and bleeding at the same time.

Until I started working with hand tools I had no idea of what "sharp" is. Several times I have sliced myself and not known it until I saw blood on the wood...

Happened to me with my LN bevel edges. Pushed the chisel back in its case and it sliced through the side of the case and into the meat of one of my fingers.

    Again, in pain and impressed.

Nothing like sharp tools to bring you back to reality.
It should heal quick that is a good point of sharp tools.

I have a little nick on my thumb from 2 weeks ago that is all but gone.
