    Another wall shelf made with recycled wood

    Here is another shelf I made with 80 year old recycled lumber. The design was copied from something I saw on the net. I would credit the designer if I knew who it was.

    What is your most reliable source of recycled wood?

    What finish did you use?

    Hi Eric,

    I'm a bit embarrassed to say that I often find my wood 'supply' on garbage day !! I also keep an eye open on the classified ads for demolition materials. It is amazing how much old furniture is chucked out in the garbage. The items that seem valuable and need restoration, I pick up for my buddy.

    The finish on this shelf is dark walnut with 4 coats of wipe-on poly.
