Completed hall table cherry and maple

    Hello,

Here is a small table that I recently completed. It was a good little project that used up some of the smaller pieces of wood.

The legs I turned and are curly soft maple, drawer front is birdseye hard maple, drawer glides are white pine, and everything else is cherry. Knobs I turned in cherry.

Finishish is tung oil and poly.

Construction is mortise and tenon, drawer is hand cut dovetails. Drawer glides are mortised into the the legs and apron, top is held on by oversized pocket holes scews and washers. Dimensions are 28 3/4" H, 15 3/4" W, 37"L.

    Thank for looking

Fantastic looking table. I think Maple and Cherry are two of the best contrasting woods to use in projects. Nice job on the legs. I really like the taper.

Very nice job, Adam. To turn the legs to the same shape, did you work against a pattern, checking dimensions frequently with calipers, or do you have a lathe duplicator?
