I have this idea to spell out a child's name in both sides of a 2"x3" x (??length) board with my CarveWright machine - and make a toy train out of the results.
Add a short pull rope and viola, we have a "NAME TRAIN".
- The letters would be double-spaced so I can cut the board (letters)into individual blocks and round over the edges.
- Install four wooden wheels on pegs to each individual block.
- Drill the blocks lengthwise and thread them together with a tiny chain.
- Run a screw up into the bottom of each block to lock the chain and maintain uniform spacing.
- Fabricate a simple engine and caboose using similar wooden wheels.
What do you think about this?
Any ideas to dress up the train? (easy details)
Thanks,
Rob
