26" deep drawers for shop cabinets?

Hey guys, I am making a Router table that will have a top that is 48" by 28". The cabinet underneath will have a lot of storage area, but I am wondering if 26" drawers are too deep? I will have 360 degree use around the cabinet, so I was kicking around the idea of doing 12" deep drawers on both front and back, but that doesnt seem deep enough?

Attached is a quick line drawing of what I am planning.

    Any thoughts on 26" drawers?

    Thanks
    Andy

    Andy,

In the kitchen of our garage apartment, I put in 9 28" deep drawers. They are awesome and everyone who has seen them falls in love with them. They actually go back into the wall because it was a knee wall and I didn't want to waste the space. 26" isn't too deep!

My bench drawers are 27" deep. I love them, you can stuff a lot into 27"!

No problem. Just be sure to use slides appropriate to the job...the heavier duty full-extension units would be my choice for this particular application.
