Shipping prices of Steel City tools

I am wanting to order an 18" Steel City bandsaw. Not sure yet as to who I will purchase it from. Has anyone else done this recently? If so, who has the best deal? The price of the tool seems to be fairly standard throughout most dealers but there is a broad range of shipping charges out there.

I bought a steel city table saw and dust collector from Woodcraft. They had it shipped to their store where I picked it up. So no shipping charges that way.

I am about two hours east of Dallas. I went to the Woodcraft in Dallas and the Mgr. told me he could not order just one saw.

If that were true retail woodworking stores would have to close there doors. Large ticket items like that sell in ones.

Not true. I have a huge dealer here in town and he has to order table saws 3 at a time.

On the other hand I would think Woodcraft would have them in their warehouse to send to the retail stores on at a time. But that is just a guess.

Bob, Woodworkers Supply will ship it for $146.00. That shipping cost specifies a lift gate off the truck. There are also some free blades that come with that purchase.

You must be pretty darn close to Shreveport, LA then. I lived there for almost 10 years.

Thanks to everyone for the input. I just placed my order with Toolking. $50.00 shipping. The overall total was $90.00 less than Woodworker's Supply.
