    Jet DC-1100/1200 Footprints

Can someone with experience in the physical size explain to me why the larger capacity unit (DC-1200) has smaller dimensions (32x16x72) than the unit with smaller capacity (DC-1100) (37x27x96).

It seems contrary to me that the higher capacity unit would have a smaller (and significantly smaller) footprint and height. Is there a significant design difference between the two that accounts for this?

    See Link for details:

Thanks in advance (I assume posting a link to the dimensions doesn't violate any forum rules, if so, please remove and accept my apology)

Well... I can tell you that Rocklers dimensions are all wrong.I have been looking at the 1100 w/canister because I am going to buy one and it isnt 96" tall its like 72". I wood look at Jets websight for correct dimensions.

You are right though, the 1200s' base is 3 inches smaller...
