Project Pics: First Kitchen from New Shop

Not the fanciest kitchen... but the first that was completed in the 'new' shop.

Details: Cherry faces, 1/2" ply panels, Birch boxes, tinted lacquer for color, additional lacquer for top coats, Although not clearly visible via the pics. The 'chocolate' island and trim is stained and cleared with a tinted lacquer to let the Cherry show through.

Beautiful...I love the simplicity. I particularly like the accent molding below the ceiling molding.

what joinery did you use for the drawers?

I agree, the dark accent molding at the top and the toe space is a perfect accent for beautiful cabinets. How does the door over the refrigerator work?

Frank, Always use standard dovetails, this job was with 'baltic birch'

Outstanding work. Now, you must share what tools you used so we can justify our frenzy for more power tools. Please don't tell us you used only hand tools.

The only criticism (watching too much HGTV) is the white refrigerator looks out of place.

Beautiful work. I particularly like the ceiling trim.

Heres an idea you might consider. When there is a cupboard over the refer, put in a sliding tray. Its always hard to get at that space and customers like the idea.

I like the flat panels. I have not seen nice ones in a kitchen. Great work and beautiful color.

  14. Beautiful. I am with everyone else, I really like the trim on the upper molding, and how it ties in the center island and the granite tops. It leaves it wide open for any black accents, either counter top appliances, or whatever.

Nice work! I like the full overlay. Made me go out and look at my kitchen cabinets. I like the different colors also.
