24 ga pipe should the seams match when i assemble the pipe together.also looking for a 14 inch band saw. antone in nova scotia or new brunswick have one or in toronto have a friend who comes east a couple of times a year. thanks greg merry xmas to all

You do not "need" to run the seams exactly, but I do just because it looks better. I generally put the seams on top, too, so they are hidden from view. Purely personal preference. I also like to tape the with foil tape. It's not absolutely necessary, but I prefer to over build and eliminate as many places for leaks as possible. This is also another reason I prefer to work with 5' pieces when I can...less joints.
