Almost embarassed to post with all the talent showing here. The attention to deail is amazing! I guess I have four favorites for '07. First is my first band sawn box I made for my wife, a cherry TV cabinet for our living room (pics to follow), my first attempt at turning bottle stoppers, Black Palm no less and two dove tail marking gauges with home made knurled knobs with Mother of Pearl inlays. The birds eye maple one is a Christmas gift and the ebony one is a keeper!

My favorite piece is this cherry hope chest I made for my daughter's wedding. The finish is shellac and wax.

For me, it would have to be this Demilune table I made for LOML. Several firsts in this one. First try at bent lamination for the apron. First shot at making a bookmatched starburst pattern with veneer, and first time making bridle joints for the legs.

  4. I have two (if that is allowed) One is at the following link. It is a shelf clock; these always look good.

The other is a card table I finished in November. The customer wanted some changes from the original which is at Yale. We changed the inlays on the legs and the central panel, which I think were for the better, but I wasn't so sure about the figured satinwood surrounding the ovals. The original had what looked to me like Primavera ( a blond, mahogany like wood of fairly bland figure); I think this actually enhanced the figured mahogany ovals, while the figured satinwood we used looks a bit distracting. Still it was a pretty nice table.
