Ted, I get most of my stuff from Houston Hardwoods on West 34th http://www.houstonhardwoods.com/ ; Clark's Hardwood Lumber Co. also has a pretty large selection, they are in the Heights http://www.clarkshardwoodlumber.com/index.php .

Yep, Houston Hardwoods, mainly because only they carried the maple melamine that I was using on my cabinet job. Every now and then, they'd work a deal on the shipping.

Mason's Mill and Lumber. Largest hardwood dealer in Houston. You have to have an account to buy from them, but that's no big deal. They'll deliver too for free. (well, they did for me anyway )

They are near Gessner and Tanner in the Spring Branch area.

Like Todd, I use Mason's. Man they have some massive wharehouses full of lumber.... prices are decent for our area too. Only bad thing is with Mason's, they're not open on weekends or evenings If they don't have what I'm looking for, I'll drive another few miles to Houston Hardwoods.
