Not a great price IMHO. At that price I'd be looking at the Grizzly 1023SL 3hp cabinet saw if you have 220v. If you're tied to 110v, the Steel City hybrid is nearly identical, has a 5 yr warranty, and may cost less....worth checking. The 22124 is $900 thru the CMan Club deal, $850 "When you buy any two items", and is $800 "When you buy any three items"....good thru 1/12/08. $800 is a much better price for that saw.

With that said, I've been really happy with my 22124.

    1. Get a Craftsman club membership (ask for a card at the store).

    2. Wait for the saw to go on sale. You might save 200 bucks.

    3. You COULD get a 22114 and put the Delta (Bies knock off) fence on it and you'd have almost the same thing.

    4. If you just can't wait - look at Steel City - they are the OEM for the Craftsman saw.

I recently purchased the SC 35670 for $999 with a $100 factory rebate. The SC 35601 can be had for $849 with a $100 rebate. These prices were from the local Toolking here in Denver.

I got mine for $879 on Black Friday. No delivery fee. It's supposed to be delivered on Saturday.

This doesn't help right now but I got the saw with the CC discount and a memorial Day (or some such) sale. I did quite a bit better than $800 but that was before Sears found out what a winner this guy turned out to be. Even at $800 you're buying the fence, motor, blade and wings . . the rest of the saw is free. At $1000 I would be tempted to look at the 1023 of other more powerful saw if your electrical will support it.
