Granite is flat and hard...HOLY COW! freaks me out!
- Would you like a granite top for your workbench?
- Is your workbench 4' wide?
- Is it 12' long?
- Will the legs support 14,000 pounds?
- Can you afford $100?

It's not exactly a work bench. Stone slabs are milled and surfaced to a grade standard of flatness for measuring objects.

14,000 lbs.!!!! Man I'd hate for that to drop on my toes.
Alan T. Thank God for every pain free day you live.
I wonder if I could haul that in my F-150?

No, I'm not an electrician. Any information I share is purely what I would do myself. If in doubt, hire an electrician!

At a minimum, I'm Pentatoxic...Most likely I'm a Pentaholic. There seems to be no known cure. Pentatonix, winners of The Sing Off, s3.
That's awesome ! 14,000 pounds
Just put casters on the bottom and call it an assembly table!
If I win it for $1, whose going to help me get it to the basement shop? (last one is the color I would be after the blood vessels burst)
Some outfit (Steel City? Jet?) is putting granite as an option instead of cast iron for their table saws! I think that is a great idea!
At 400 lbs each, you would need 35 casters, but I'm guessing my shop floor isn't as flat as the marble slab, so not all casters would touch, so call it 45 casters.
But then you have to add 30% for over-engineering which brings it to 55 casters...
55 casters @ $12.00 each= $660.00 (no tax, i buy over the internet with free shipping)
hmmmmmmmm....i'm thinking...........
nawwwww!
