The reason the pictures don't show up in the original posts is that at the time of the original thread creation, we allowed HTML code to be inserted into posts. Due to some security issues, etc., we had to disable that capability a little over a year ago. (One of the many reasons we recommend that photos be uploaded directly to the forum, rather than linked to) But copy/paste of the URLs will get you to the photos...as Thomas has shown.

When I tried to find the photos they were gone. The site ultradad appears to be no more. But going to Bill's new website worked out really well. You can find the article form here:

    http://www.wonderfulwood.com/articles/roughbowl.html

Which pictures in it. I then went looking for some of the others. For instance this one:

    http://www.wonderfulwood.com/articles/tangentcut01.jpg
    http://www.wonderfulwood.com/articles/tangentcut02.jpg
    http://www.wonderfulwood.com/articles/tangentcut03.jpg
    http://www.wonderfulwood.com/articles/tangentcut04.jpg

    And the shear scrape at:

    http://www.wonderfulwood.com/articles/shearscrape01.jpg
    http://www.wonderfulwood.com/articles/shearscrape02.jpg
    http://www.wonderfulwood.com/articles/shearscrape03.jpg

Shows the tangent cut that isn't actually a part of the article above. I am a visual learner so it is great for me to see pictures as I read about them. I found this thread by a search today and wanted to post what I had found to get the pics for others who might follow in the same fashion.
