I have a Stanley #50 plane. I have cleaned it up and sharpened the irons, I won't cut worth a hoot. Does anyone know how to set this plane up and make the adjustments? I have about a dozen different plane irons for it that cut various shapes.

Whats it doing wrong Lee?
Its basically a baby #45, same rules apply. I have a couple of 50's at the moment only one is servicable. the others are disassembled for restoration to usable. they will never be a collectors item just a user as both were almost destroyed by rust.

NORMAL is just a setting on the washing machine.
