If so, can you recommend books, websites and related construction info?
I'm thinking of the cool complex kind not the toys we played with when we were children.
Thank you.

Best site I know about is http://www.resp-o-rator.com/ec/ by Jim Duxbury. He sells plans as well as finished product. He used to live here in the Cleveland area, but now is in Greensboro, NC. Check it out. Also sells a DVD.
Woodwork Mag published an excellent article on making kaleidoscopes in the Feb '08 issue. The author, Michael Cullen, recommended three web sites:
www.kaleido.com/mirrors.htm
www.mirrorsandlight.com/artists/.aspx
www.kobe-duac.jp/gsdr/gsdr/kiso04/02-e.html
Jim Duxbury was the featured speaker at our ww. assoc. last week. All I can say is WOW!
In case you will be in the Cleveland, OH area the first Saturday in April, Jim Duxbury will be demonstrating at our turning club at the Rockler store in Parma starting at 9:30.
