    Chatter tool question?

I working on making a chatter tool and I am wondering as to what is the average over hang of the blade. I know that one can make it adjustable but aside from that what seems to be the normal over hung?
    Thanks

    HI

Check out the Sorby site there are a couple of good clips on how to use it.

To answer your question as to how I do it depends on how you want the chatter pattern to look. I go from 1"or less to 2" inches it all up to what you like. I have a Dennis Steward Chatter tool that I have used since 1995.

Thanks guys. I think I'll make mine adjustable and get it over with.
