    Spalted Maple dish

    I'm a spalted wood guy. So awhile back I found a maple that had been down for who knows how many years. Here's a a little dish I made that the wife is going to keep the sweet n low packs in. Walls are less than 1/16. Finish is Danish oil and then tripoli buffed. Size is 4.5 x 2h

    I agree, spalting is one of the great things that happen to wood. Who knew that rot looked so good! I really like the form.
