    Hollow Form #13

This one has a nice feather across the top and another in the foot area. It has lots of spalt lines, a couple of knots and a few cracks which I left unfilled just for effect.

Spalted birch, 7 ˝” diameter x 4 ˝” high, sanded to 400 with 5 coats of wipe on/wipe off Minwax gloss poly. Plan on buffing it once the static problem lessens in my shop.

    Very nice!

    Steve,

That's a very nice hollow form. Any collector should be proud to have it. You used a nice piece of wood, but it was your turning that made it into something special.

    Nice

    Steve,

That's a fine-looking piece -- you did an excellent job. You're really coming along with your feel for form and balance. Well done!

Steve, another dandy hollow form. Love the feathering in the photo, I'll bet it is even more impressive i person.

Very beautiful and interesting wood, Steve...and then the form to maximize its display. Your work continues to inspire! Thanks for sharing.

    Steve,
That is a seriously beautiful piece, and the photography is excellent (just my beginner's opinion). Have you shown your photo setup somewhere on the forum?
