I have 50 or 60 pen blanks. Is there any special way to store them to preserve a needed moisture content?

This pretty well sums it up. I have two or three hundred that i've prepared and stored, and they seem to do fine dry. Ebony is a differant matter however, seems to want to split no matter what I do. Luck!

I keep some pen blanks for turning flames (I can't do pens), on the door shelf in my old refrigerator. I've never had any of them crack, but I've never checked them for moisture content, either.
Robert, I keep my stick of Ebony (2x2x12) there also.
You could probably maintain the present moisture content of pen-blanks by cross-stacking them in the bottom of an old refrigerator.

And.... I'm located just 1,075 miles SW of Steve Schlumpf.
It just so happens I have a refrigerator in my garage with my wood working gear. Thanks for the tip.
