    free walnut

    Hey Guys & Gals
If there is anybody in the Dupage County IL area I have
a bunch of walnut that I need to get rid of. Most of it is
from branches but there is some second logs also. Some
of it is app. 15-18" dia with some crotch pcs. All is recently
cut. I do a little turning but there is too much here for me
to use. I have a saw mill and my tree guy dropped off all
these limbs that he normally doesn't. If no one is interested
    it will become firewood.
    Thanks, Wade

Wade- I'm in Elgin, and I would be more than happy to relieve of the "burden" of at least a little of your excess of walnut. Where in Dupage Co. are you?

I'm in the south burbs about 91st and Harlem Ave.

I'd be interested in some. I have a trailer and chainsaw.

Looks like Saturday is suppose to get up to 35 degrees and sunny.

At 8 degrees today it's just too COLD BRRRRRR.

I can't wait for Spring. I hate Winter.

It is the thought that counts, can hardly say no to free wood, but it would hardly be free me driving from South Georgia, thanks. If I did I would get to see snow, haven't had any down here since 1980, and got a whoping 2 inches at that time.

    Wade,

Whereabouts in DuPage are you located? I'm just getting into woodturning and would love to obtain some of this stock. I'm basically just South in Will County (Plainfield) so it wouldn't be much of a trip for me if you have any left.

Oops, I just read an earlier message that gave your location... nevermind. Please let me know if you have anything left and I'll call you to get exact location and perhaps I can swing by later this week after work (I work in Sugar Grove) or on Saturday.

    Thanks for the replies,
The wood will be here for awhile. There is at least
2 truck loads maybe more. I will be there over the
weekend so anyone interested just call and let me
    know when you are coming.
    Thanks, Wade. 630-939-1752

    Wade,
Please consider a vacation in Texas. It's like a whole other country. Still a bit nippy at night in Wimberley (40F), but having some pleasant days. It wouldn't slow you down very much to pull a trailer load of that walnut along. Just a thought. Good score and generous offer.

    Here's another request from Texas....

I'm sending my wife up to Batavia for her neice's wedding shower. I can send her with an empty suitcase to pick some of that walnut.
