    Bandsaw Bearings

I bought an old Crescent bandsaw with 20 inch wheels. One of the repair areas I need to address is the Babbitt bearings. They're pretty well shot and I need an experienced recommendation on who should repour them.

Any actual experience with this will be welcome.

For oler machines and very much babbitt machines you should read through www.owwm.com Loads of info on babbitts there and lots of knowledgable people on older machines.

If it were mine, I would investigate having a machine shop convert it to modern ball or roller bearings.
