    Brick Sandcarving

    Hello,
I am kinda new to sandblasting, (still in the hobby phase) but I have done several pieces that have turned out great. So far all my work has been on ceramic tile. I was contacted by a group in my town that are paving around a flag pole with brick pavers and they want names and dates etched on them. I use the green laser tape for tile but it will not stick to a brick. I need some help locating a product that will work on bricks and other corse surfaces that I can also cut with my laser. Any ideals?
    Thanks

We always used rubber stencil, made by Anchor and available at sign supplies. For all but really smooth surfaces (like marble and glass) we use stencil filler, which is an adhesive similar to contact cement that's rolled onto the brick/wood/rock then allowed to dry. Then the stencil is applied, and the adhesive on the rubber bonds to it. After blasting, remove stencil then that adhesive has to be cleaned/sanded/lightly blasted off.

Same as the rubber, the sign supply places have both.
