    Help finding a tool

I had a device that has small wire "fingers" When pressed against something, i.e. base board, it would take the shape of the profile of the object. It made it easy to transfer profiles. My old one fell apart and I am not sure what to call it when searching to buy a new one. Any help would be appreciated.

try "profile gauge" or "copy gauge" at your favorite tool retailer...
