Hi All...
I am finishing new 3 panel glass wood doors for our masterbath. They are solid wood and came with a primer. I basically reprimed them and sprayed a BM pearl finish paint. The BM finish is a eggshell but wanted to top coat, 2006 years annual FWW finishing suggested a top coat for added protection. The article doesnt list which top coat but the article pic shows a can of varnish.
After reading varnish on cans, they recommend over wood only and not painted surfaces. I decided to bump up to a semi gloss finish so shellac is out. What about laquer this is the only other top coat that lists ok for painted surfaces. But it(Deft brand) lists in bold not to spray so I am back to a brush so now my spray finish is comprimised.
What to do? Suggestions?
thanks
Chris
