Real nice piece!
Making new friends on SMC each and every day
Exceptional, as usual !!
Not my "style" either, but a wonderful piece in all aspects, design, proportions, execution, finish, etc.
That is an outstanding piece of work.
I have only one negative comment.
The entire piece is so fantastic that the machine made dovetails in the drawers detract from the holistic aesthetic of the piece. Take them out and re-do them by hand to have a truly 100 point piece.

Very very nice.
Can't say as the style fits me, but then again I didn't design nor make it.
Well done!

Striking and creative design. Beautifully figured wood. Definitely makes the inspiration wall.
Absolutely beautiful piece of craftmanship, but I would change the name

I love it. But where's the other 4 legs? Arachnoids got 8.
Use the fence Luke
Fine work that is deserving of a place in FWW magazine. Love the design. One question about the legs; how did you join them to the aprons? Thanks.
Thanks everyone for the comments. It certainly is "different" so I am sure it will not cater to everyone's tastes, but I am exploring different designs and playing around with the joinery. It sure is a lot of fun.
With the exception of the machined dovetails (I'm not yet up to hand cutting them, and besides, I had to show my lovely wife what I can do with the Christmas gift she gave me) the joinery is all loose tenons, with the mortises made with a cool little black and green toy.

Glen
Woodworking: It's a joinery.
