Shipping point @ Lewiston NY?????

I am thinking about purchasing a machine from Grizzly. They do not ship into Canada so my choices are: 6 hour drive (one way) to Muncy PA and pick up the machine. Or have it shipped to the Lewiston border crossing and pick it up there. (2 hour drive one way)

Time is money and saving 8 hours in the car may be worth it too me.

Can anyone recommend a company in Lewiston that will recieve my machine and load on my vehicle for a nominal fee? I know others have done this but cannot find any archived info.

Also, if you have done this please feel free to share you experiences.

Sounds like you know much more about this than I do...but won't you have to pay some sort of duty when you cross back into Canada and the border agent sees a big new machine in the back?

The tax I would have to pay would be 13% on the total amount. A small price to pay considering a similar machine is $1000 more to buy in Canada.

Chris, when I have gotten a piece of machinery delivered I have picked it up at the nearest terminal. I would suggest contacting Grizzly to see which freight company they would use for Lewiston, NY and have them ship it to the terminal closest to there and pick it up just as you would if you lived there in town.
