SawMill Creek Members With Laser Engravers

I've agreed to turn a couple pen sets for a Rotary fundraising auction. I would like to give them in a box engraved with the Rotary emblem. Where could I find someone to help me? Anyone on this board interested? What should I expect to pay? If this is inappropriate, please excuse me.

Well, gee. This might be a bit of a stretch, but maybe you could try the sponsor of this here site. Keith has posted some of his work here and I know that some other members have been the recipients of some of it, as well. Just go to: http://www.northwindassociates.com/ .

    Keith,

That was awfully nice to include everyone in that list...

I have been trying different marketing approaches and nothing has really "Hit" yet... The one thing that I have done recently was to donate a black marble class picture for my kids' Montessori Silent auction. There were 9 classes and they raised around 1500.00 just on the tiles.... One of them went for 400.00 and I agreed to make a couple duplicates for what ever the high bid was on another. The point here is that I know there is a market and if people can see them - they see the value and beauty!

    Steve,

I hope your ebay listings are working. Just as a suggestion, right now is the time to contact any college or university bookstore in your local area and inquire about engraving diplomas. Frames for diplomas normally sell for $135.00 so an engraved diploma is a real bargain, it's unique and it is unlikely you will have any competition.

The graduation season is upon us

    Keith...

This is my first post to this forum.

You can add me to your list of laser engravers that will take on job requests. I recently started my business and this site has been a big help. Although I have many years experience in graphic design and production, I've never worked "for myself" before and setting up this business has been seat of the pants flying. My biggest problems are marketing and pricing my products and services. It's tough coming up with a price when every job seems to be different. I've read through the various postings about pricing, but I'm still unsure.

I'm based in Carroll, Ohio (southeastern Ohio, close to Lancaster). Anyone needing something laser engraved or cut can contact me.

I just found this site and I'm figuring out how the whole forum thing works. I would like to be added to your laser user list. I have a small commercial shop I run as a side business. I am running a 120W Epilog Legend 32 EX, and have been in business for about a year and a half. I have seen some really great info on this site and hope to be able to contribute something helpful.
