I just received a Jet 1000B air filter and am trying to decide where to place it. My shop is 24'x30'x9'. Will it do the best job right in the middle of the ceiling or off to one side? What about mounted to the wall near the ceiling?

I used to have mine in the center of a shop similar in size to yours, but moved it to the outside edge about mid-way, both for "overhead convenience" and to help set up a circular flow. But I only use it when spraying (all water borne) at this point to catch any suspended finish in the air.

An artical recently read stated center of the shop for a single and outer edge in opposite directions to create a circle pattern if two or more. Mine is kinda centered and like Jim's placed with a mix of "optimum" and convenient.
