    Cocobolo wedding goblet

This is a goblet I made for my daughter who is getting married next month. Cocobolo, 6.5" x 2", with interlocked captive "wedding rings".

    Curt,

If you don't mind I would like to pick your brain on this. I have a wedding gift to make in the near future and I have been considering one of these cups. What are the dimensions of the rings and cup? What kind of finish did you use, can this cup be used (once)?

    TIA, regards, Steve

Beautiful work! Your daughter will cherish that goblet for years to come.

Can you offer advice on cutting the interlocking rings?

    Thanks everyone!

Donn, I cut the rings using a skew for the outside and a homemade tool for the inside. There's actually two tools, one cuts from the left and one from the right, and they're made from a couple of cheap harbor freight right angle screw drivers. To interlock them you carefully break one of the rings, spread it over the other and glue it back with a small drop of CA.

Thank you. I knew there as a simple way to link the rings but alas, I over thought the solution.
