I've been wanting to post these pics of a recent shop addition that my Dad and myself had completed, Enjoy!

Very nicely done. It looks like it belongs there and wasn't an add-on.
And a very nice addition of space. Are you going to make the back half the shop and the front half for cars?
Grady - "Thelma, we found Dean's finger"
Thelma - "Where is the rest of him?!"
Alex, Originally we built this garage for vehicles, soon after my tools kicked the cars out!!!
Chris - what are the dimensions?
P.S. Nice narrow wall detail.
Looks sharp-a shop addition is always welcome. No structural headers in your walls? Some engineering I missed?
Never got to frame a gambrel, so excuse me if I just put my foot in my mouth.
A fun project, where the journey is almost as fulfilling as the outcome.
Congrats,
Dustin
Dustin, I guess your referring to the door framing, Cheated above the door (like the shelf space), window openings have double 2"-6" headers.
Total Garage dimensions are 16'-42'
Chris -
Are you at 24" oc or 16" oc?
Matt, the garage is framed entirely with 2"-6" lumber with the exception of the joists which are 2"-8", everything is 16" OC. The sheathing is 3/4 plywood. We also built the original structure about 9 years ago.
