    Garage addition

    I've been wanting to post these pics of a recent shop addition that my Dad and myself had completed, Enjoy!

    Very nicely done. It looks like it belongs there and wasn't an add-on.

    And a very nice addition of space. Are you going to make the back half the shop and the front half for cars?

    Looks sharp-a shop addition is always welcome. No structural headers in your walls? Some engineering I missed?

    Never got to frame a gambrel, so excuse me if I just put my foot in my mouth.

    A fun project, where the journey is almost as fulfilling as the outcome.

    Dustin, I guess your referring to the door framing, Cheated above the door (like the shelf space), window openings have double 2"-6" headers.

    Total Garage dimensions are 16'-42'

    Matt, the garage is framed entirely with 2"-6" lumber with the exception of the joists which are 2"-8", everything is 16" OC. The sheathing is 3/4 plywood. We also built the original structure about 9 years ago.
