    Maintenance

Since there seems to be a popular subject on maintenance.

I didn't receive any lube to go with my machine. Don't ask,.... but what does a person use to lube their machine with?

Depends on machine and the motion system , we use clothes moistened with WD 40 to "clean" and a grease in an orange accordian type squeeze tube for actual lubing (NSK PS2 grease)

When I bought my machine I was supplied with Epilog bearing grease. It's like the white grease that you get when you can't access the part. It only needs about 2mm x 3 along the top of the xy rails, maybe another 3 on the laser lens carrier track. All very small amounts.

    Bearing grease

    Anthony,

Bearing grease is supplied with all new laser systems. The grease we supply is the grease recommended by the manufacturer of our bearing rails (same mfg'er as your bearing rails).

You can order a syringe full of grease by contacting our tech support group at 303.215.9171 or tech at epiloglaser dot com.

If you're looking for an alternative, white lithium grease will work also.

    Rodne's note is dead on.
