Couple of small projects get finished

I made a valet tray for a friend's birthday out of Maple and Papua New Guinea Rosewood. It's finished with natural stain and poly.

Then I finally finished a walking stick I carved in 1994 from a tree limb in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Not sure what kind of wood it is either...anyone know? I finished this one with Spar Urethane after the natural stain (my favortie stain of all).

Link doesn't work...why not just put it in the message? Then it's there for the archives.

Thats very nice, Kelly...how thick is the stock?...it looks sturdy.

Also, you need to remove the extra "http://" from the link to make it work.

I got it fixed. I didn't put them in the message because it was easier at the time to put the link in (of course I goofed that up somehow).

The stock was 13/16" after sanding....
