Private Forums for Woodworking Guilds and Groups

Most of our Members may not know that we are recruiting Woodworking Guilds and Groups to join us at SawMill Creek. We currently have two groups with private forums now, their forums are invisible to those who are not members. The privacy is to give them a secure place to meet and share information with their members. Groups with Private Forums make a donation occasionally based on their evaluation of the value of our service. In time we hope that we will be able to be self supporting and never have to rely on advertising for revenue.

The advantage to us all is that these people become members of SawMill Creek and are participating in our public forums as well. This brings us new people and lots of experience that is shared by everyone. Our Private Forums work the same as the public side of SawMill Creek and include a Calendar, Private Messaging Service and sub-forums as necessary.

I know that many of you are members of wood turning groups and other specialized guilds and would appreciate it if you would make your group aware of the services we are providing. Please contact Aaron Koehl if you have any questions or require additional information.

Please help us spread the word!

    Thanks.

    Keith

    Thanks John,

Although we are not currently receiving donations from these forums we still believe they are good for the Creek and our members so we will continue to provide private forums for woodworking guilds and special groups when they are requested. Many talented woodworkers have joined SMC as a result of their Guild having a forum here and they have been major contributors to our public forums.
